Meet Dr. Nicole Matter

“I have benefitted from chiropractic care in every stage of my life, and my goal is to provide individualized care and help improve the lives of each of my patients, from infants to grandparents.”

As a multisport athlete, Dr. Nicole knows first-hand the importance of beginning chiropractic care at an early age. She learned at an early age that chiropractic care helped her recover from injuries and return to play more quickly than teammates that did not utilize chiropractic care.

The daughter of a chiropractor, Dr. Nicole grew up in Northwest Iowa where she played four sports at Boyden-Hull high school. Watching her father work to improve the overall health of his patients left an indelible mark on her life, and when it ultimately came time to choose a professional path, the choice was an obvious one.

Dr. Nicole received her bachelor’s degree from Central College in Pella, where she played volleyball, earning Academic All-Conference honors and being named the team’s Most Valuable Player during two consecutive seasons.

Dr. Nicole received her doctorate at Palmer College of Chiropractic, graduating summa cum laude with highest honors. At Palmer, Nicole received specialized training in the Activator Method, and pediatric adjusting techniques. Dr. Nicole attained her certification in the Webster Technique, which is a specific technique designed for adjusting the pregnant woman. Dr. Nicole is also pursuing her certification with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association to further her training and better care for expecting mothers and children.

Dr. Nicole prides herself on a professional course of treatment where she treats the underlying problem (not just the pain/symptom), and restores the individual to their optimal health.

Dr. Nicole and her husband Zach reside in Ankeny along with their newborn son, Beau, and their mini goldendoodle, Roo. They enjoy spending time outdoors, attending area sporting events and being involved in the community.
